Wolf Model by Purpleground02 Wolf Model by Purpleground02
Urrhhh... it's supposed to be li Wei, but i think i kinda carried away building up the muscle. Can't help it, you know.. It's really addictive. :P

Anyway, been tinkering with Zbrush lately. Suprisingly, the program (if they are not bluffing) is used to model alot of video games/movie character, see here [link]. Well... I guess that only means its one of the path to 3D animation as well.

Still in the early stage of getting familiar with the program... Though my first try kinda goes beyond my expectation.. I thought I can only render a... a... something... Once I am done knocking myself out on the body.. I will try for the armor..

Made with Zbrush

That's not bad for your first try. Looks good. It'll shape up in no time.

Thanks! Surprisingly, the body sculpting is rather easy, but the clothing... and add on assessories is much more challenging since they had to be done separately, and that they have to NOT look organic... which is pretty tough.. :/ Am still experimenting it.

Oh it can get really hectic at times. And ... other times, kinda like right now -.- there's nothing going on. I'm just making stuff in 3D as usual. Trying to figure out how to make all my ends meet >.<; that kind of thing.

Bills, feh!

But I'm doing pretty good right now, still enjoying games and stuff. I bought Sleeping Dogs recently, and it's pretty fun. It's telling an interesting story about an undercover cop in Hong Kong, trying to play Triad and Cop at the same time without blowing his cover or falling too far in with the gang. It's pretty fun, and has a real nice fighting engine for an open world game, kind of like Batman, where it's a series of single button strikes and counters.

Fun stuff. So... what about you? What have you been getting into? Aside from becoming awesome at 3D in a short time X3

Me? Well, after the big cargo vessel is launched. My daily working life kinda gets really cooled down. as it, everyone would just say, "I don't know" when I asked the seniors what are we gonna do today? Hhaa.. it's pretty relax so far, but we may hit the Big Wave again around december since there's another big vessel coming.

I can't say I've been playing any games lately, except for Diablo 3 sometimes. Maybe only 2 hours in two days. I don't know. Been lost interest on games lately. I tried to pick up new games, but just playing a few hours and then stopped. Unless they are Really THAT GOOD you know? Hhaa.. I've seen Sleeping Dogs trailer and gameplay, I could say it looks like (almost) the same fighting mechanism from Assassin Creed too. I believe it's better this way, you know? Keep it simple while keep the actions at top by adding more animation into a single button strike.

That's all what's happening to me right now. I've been trying to figure out how to sculpt accessories in Zbrush, been crunching lots and lots of tutorial videos lately. Apparently, the body sculpting is the simplest part as long as I know my human anatomy right. But when it comes to non-organic sculpting, like armor plate (the one Li Wei has on his shoulder), even if its just a small piece, It's Pretty DArn hard to begin with.

Anyway, been thinking man, have you and Imago ever think about going into animation or modelling company? You're good at it. =) And what educational major did you take back in college/university?

Hilariously enough, I actually didn't go to College. I'm a drop-out X3

:iconkanyewestplz: It's the drop-out keepin' kids in school!

Although Imago went to college for programming.

But nah, all the things I've learned over time have been mostly through personal experience. I've started moving onto other things, and I'll try to keep you up to date as best as I can as I move on X3

And Sleeping Dogs is a good game, I finished it not too long ago. The fighting engine is kinda like Assassin's Creed, but also if you think of the fighting in Batman Arkham Asylum/City. That's kind of how it worked, since you had a primary attack button, and a button for countering attacks. The story was pretty deep, although you were really allowed to do much in the way of insanity, like Saint's Row: The Third. I'd actually compare Sleeping Dogs with Grand Theft Auto 4, where you get to do a lot of fun stuff, but you also feel like there could have been a lot MORE to do, and more of it should matter. Although for what it was worth, it was a fun ride and a deep story. The main character was a bad ass but completely confused. He wants to be Triad, but he hates the Triad at the same time.

Man, and you've been doing awesome in 3D so far. The Li Wei you crafted looked gorgeous!! Too bad you don't use Poser or DAZ Studio, if you did, I'd offer to rig your characters for you, so they could move around and stuff. But, you're still making amazing progress in Z-Brush, far past me actually X3 Since I have yet to get into Z-Brush.

Oh.. I am sorry to hear that. But of course, once school's over, the career time may still ends differently. I got a lot of stories on that...but I don't think its necessary to go over them at this time. :P

Anyway.... I will be sure to try out sleeping dogs. =)

And regarding Li Wei model...About the last part. I can't seemed to rig Li into motion. need a few more try with it. But I give myself a few days to breath since I have been crunching lots and lots of Zbrush tutorial like I was doing assignment back in school. Worked until 3am endlessly over a week with a coffee.. And that.. my friend, Li Wei is the result.... Zbrush is actually an easy tool to use given that you have experience with other modelling program. Really. You Shud try it. =) get it through pirate :ninja:

Anyway, Diablo 3 got a new patch.. Which is Blizzard's solution to allll the complain and quits. It might just works =D... Been having fun on Diablo lately. Though of course came some complain. Which I do wish to turn them into comic strips. Buuttt... I am just that lazy. haha.
